USTGS 2025 Portland Convention: A Grand Gathering of Taekwondo Leaders

April 10–13, 2025 | Embassy Suites by Hilton, Portland Airport

The United States Taekwondo Grandmasters Society (USTGS) is proudly hosting its 23rd Annual General Meeting, 17th Annual Hall of Fame Awards, and 5th Myong-In Award this weekend at the Embassy Suites by Hilton near Portland International Airport. This landmark event brings together Taekwondo grandmasters, masters, and leaders from across the country for a powerful weekend of unity, legacy, and forward-looking leadership.

The convention kicked off Thursday, April 10, with executive check-ins and board preparations. Today, April 11, began with the 20th Executive Board of Directors Meeting, followed by the opening session of the Next Generation Leadership Seminar, focused on empowering the future of martial arts through professionalism and innovation.

This evening, members will gather in the Oak Ballroom for a formal Group Photo Session (business attire), followed by a spirited Anniversary Celebration Dinner at Kobe Sushi & Karaoke, blending formality with fun.

Saturday’s agenda features a full day of seminars on Taekwondo principles, USTGS history and vision, and a Dan Promotion Test, plus a scenic group trip to Multnomah Falls. That evening, the convention’s crown jewel—the black-tie Hall of Fame Banquet and Awards Ceremony—will honor exceptional contributions and lifetime achievements in the martial arts.

The event will wrap up on Sunday, April 13, with a farewell breakfast and departures, as participants return home inspired, connected, and renewed in their commitment to the spirit of Taekwondo.
