Snow Training in Iowa
Last few days record 30 below, with 55 degree below windchill. Almost the same as visiting the North Pole. 35 years ago, Grandmaster Woojin, Jung Cedar Rapids, Ia, Taekwondo Times CEO/Publisher started snow training tradition with his students for developing discipline and confidence in life.
Over the last 2 weeks schools all over Iowa/Midwest have been closed. During the school break Taekwondo classes needed to be cancelled. Taekwondo Master Forrest Gibson gave his students a challenge. No class, all senior students’ brown belt and above snow training. This new generation of students took the challenge and out in the cold they went. Megan Farrell Jung’s Grinnell brown belt student put together this awesome video. Great job Megan. We are excited to share with the world Jung’s Taekwondo snow training. Grandmaster’s training advice make strong fist and keep feet flat on the ground, do not run on the balls of your feet. When you come inside stomp your feet till warm. Snow training will keep away flu and colds try it……
