Jhoon Rhee, Last of the US Tae Kwon Do Pioneers Passes

The last US Tae Kwon Do pioneer passed away Monday, April 30, 2018. It was reported that he was talking with friends and family on Sunday evening. He taught representatives and senators TKD in early morning workouts for 30 years. Born January 7, 1932, he also pioneered the use of music and invented safety equipment, in addition to writing a series of books that are still popular. He appeared on 2 covers of Tae Kwon Do Times, Jan ’91 and Jan ’94.
